Friends of the Symphony

The UCI Symphony Orchestra is one of the premier performance ensembles at the Claire Trevor School of the Arts. In existence since 1966, the orchestra offers music majors, non-music majors, faculty, and community members an opportunity to study and perform symphonic music with the highest standards. Under the direction of Maestro Stephen Tucker, the orchestra frequently collaborates with outstanding faculty performers and professional soloists. The orchestra provides accompaniment for a number of on-campus UCI Opera and Dance productions. In addition, the orchestra performs off-campus for UCI’s Arts Outreach K-12 program and other community events.

We invite you to join the Friends of the Symphony. As a member, your contributions will provide instrumental support to the orchestra program and will foster the growth of UCI musical scholars. Join us, and take an active part in cultivating the next generation of musicians!

Friends of the Symphony donations support our mission to:

• Offer talented music students the highest quality conservatory training and opportunities to practice symphonic music of the ages.
• Produce 5-6 symphonic orchestra performances a year and host musical experiences by renowned artists.
• Prepare students for professional lives in music through experiences with outstanding faculty performers and professional soloists.
