The UC Irvine Claire Trevor School of the Arts (UCI Arts) Arts Launch Internship Program offers academic year-long, paid professional development internships that allow UCI Arts students to explore career and professional pathways in the creative sector.
Arts Launch aims to:
- Provide UCI Arts students with opportunities that support their career and professional goals
- Expand how UCI Arts students think about working in the creative sector
- Enhance capacity in Orange County area arts organizations
- Launch the next generation of creative leaders
Orange County lacks a comprehensive internship program for those interested in working in the creative sector. The Arts Launch Internship Program not only begins to fill this gap, but also supports our UCI Arts students' professional learning and development, while further promoting the vibrant arts community of Orange County. Participation in Arts Launch is free for organizations, with priority given to small to midsize organizations who serve historically excluded populations and center diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in their mission.
The Arts Launch Internship Program is made possible by the generous support of the Steven M. Sorenson Foundation, the Pacific Life Foundation, the Farmers & Merchants Bank Foundation, and the Richard B. Siegel Foundation. A special thank you to the leadership teams at the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture's Arts Internship Program and the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program for their guidance and support in the construction of this new program.
