Support Student Success

At the Claire Trevor School of the Arts, we don’t just teach creativity, we are the creative engine that powers innovation at UCI. For more than five decades, Claire Trevor students in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music have set the highest standards for practicing traditional art forms while pioneering new ones. Our alumni are recognized globally for their contributions to art and culture.

As the leading campus in the nation providing access to all qualified students, no matter what their background, our students rely on the generous support of donors to make their educational and artistic aspirations come alive.

Scholarships and student support are critical to offset the unique costs of an arts education at UCI. Amid changing demographics, it’s essential that tomorrow’s artists reflect the audiences they will serve.

Scholarships and Fellowships

Two of the most important ways to support the Claire Trevor School of the Arts (UCI Arts) is by providing scholarships and fellowships for students in Art, Dance, Drama and Music.

Scholarships:

Support students so they may attend the Claire Trevor School of the Arts and be our next generation creative leaders. Our scholarships help make a university education possible for UCI Arts' need-based students as well as rewarding and fostering our students who exhibit academic or creative excellence.

Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students.

Fellowships:

Support research done at the Claire Trevor School of the Arts that explores new frontiers in the arts through cutting edge research into the nature of the human experience. Fellowships foster the education of our students by supporting research opportunities.

Fellowships are awarded to graduate and professional school students.

Outreach Programs

UCI Arts partners with local schools and community organizations to expand access to the arts through hands-on, inclusive programming. Serving more than 5,000 people each year, these efforts introduce young people to creative expression, support aspiring artists in their education, and foster lifelong engagement with the arts. Students who participate gain valuable experience as educators, collaborators, and citizen artists while strengthening UCI Arts’ role as a leader in community connection and cultural engagement.

UCI Arts outreach programs are made possible through the generosity of donors and foundations who believe in the power of arts access and education.

Medici Circle

Medici Scholars take their education beyond the classroom to collaborate with academics and artists in our community and around the world.

Scholars in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music, rely on scholarships like the Medici Circle awards to support their academic growth and to enrich their creative development. Medici Scholarships are competitive and provide deserving young artists the opportunity to pursue ambitious projects with the support of a dedicated patron and faculty mentor.

Medici Faculty Mentors are assigned to oversee each project, to ensure that students enjoy the best possible experience and achieve an excellent outcome. Medici Circle Patrons open doors for a specific talented student and their project, and will help them reach their creative professional goals.
