The piece is a choreographic investigation into collective consciousness, inspired by how groups interact
with each other, and how a sense of cooperation can be reached. It features West African and Jazz movement techniques, with music composed by a local Santa Barbara drummer to tell the story.

Embodiology 101 focuses on improvisational techniques using ballet to teach students to be more confident as working dancers and choreographers.

6:30pm-8:00pm, Claire Trevor TheatreMiguel de Cervantes, aging and an utter failure as playwright, poet and tax collector, has been thrown into a dungeon in Seville to await trial by the Spanish Inquisition. There he is dragged before a kangaroo court of his fellow prisoners. Based on The Adventures of Don Quixote, Man of La Mancha is a comic tragedy of mankind's struggle to better both himself and the world.

These Shining Lives

Catherine Donohue and her friends have loving families and good jobs painting glow-in-the-dark watch faces at Chicago’s Radium Dial Company, and the 1920s seem full of promise. Tragedy comes when Catherine and her colleagues begin falling ill, and discover that the job they love has betrayed them. This is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense.

New Slate

New Slate is an exciting dance program featuring the diverse talents of graduate student choreographers. The program includes original works, and promises something for every dance enthusiast. Digital Filmmaking

The Digital Filmmaking Minor offers students a production cirriculum that combines traditional narrative production techniques, as well as the opportunity to explore a variety of styles and genre's when producing content.

Jukebox
Koryn Ann Wicks, Graduate Student

Department of Dance Graduate Student Koryn Ann Wicks has integrated improvisation into her work by changing the music accompanying the piece each time it is performed. The piece is choreographed using methods pioneered by British choreographer Wayne McGregor.
