Theatre Guild

With a richly comprehensive curriculum, the UC Irvine Department of Drama provides students with real-time acting practice in productions, as well as opportunities to learn hands-on technical skills. Since its founding in 1965 as one of the original departments in the University, UCI Drama has supported students’ artistic development through courses on directing, design, musical theatre, playwriting, stage management, dramatic theory, and theatre production.

UCI Drama alumni are frequently seen on Broadway, in national tours, and on film and television screens. Our alumni are also represented in technical positions throughout the country in a variety of sought-after positions as stage managers, sound designers, lighting designers, scenic designers, costume designers, and production managers.

Annual Memberships

VIP Priority Seating: Current Theatre Guild and Claire Trevor Society members are invited to enjoy early access to seating at all CTSA Department of Drama productions. Please arrive 30 minutes before curtain to select your seats and simply check in with your name at the designated entrance. General seating will open 20 minutes before the show. Members arriving after the early entry period are asked to please join the main entry line.
