Where Members Can Make an Impact
UCI Symphony Orchestra
The UCI Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Pope, is one of the premier ensembles in the Department of Music, bringing together students, faculty, and community members to study and perform symphonic repertoire at the highest level.
The orchestra collaborates regularly with distinguished faculty performers and professional soloists. The ensemble also plays a central role in opera productions and engages in side-by-side experiences and partnerships with professional ensembles that expand mentorship and career pathways for students.
Support for the Symphony Orchestra helps provide rigorous training, performance opportunities, and professional preparation for student musicians.

UCI Choirs
The UCI Choirs provide students with the opportunity to study and perform choral repertoire while developing vocal technique, musicianship, and ensemble skills. Through concerts, special projects, and collaborations, UCI Choirs connect students with faculty leadership and a wide range of musical traditions.
Donor support enhances rehearsal resources, performances, and guest artist collaborations while expanding access to choral music for campus and community audiences.
Opera and Vocal Arts at UCI Arts
Opera at UCI Arts is a cornerstone of vocal training and performance, with a tradition of excellence spanning more than five decades. Opera productions are immersive, collaborative experiences that unite vocalists, orchestra musicians, designers, directors, and production teams.
Support for opera helps cover the significant costs of producing high-quality performances, including costumes, music, staging, and coaching. These investments give students invaluable onstage experience and help cultivate future performers and audiences for opera.
