The UC Irvine Choirs and Symphony Orchestra present Immortal Beloved: Bach, Beethoven, and Beyond, an evening of monumental music inspired by the enduring legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.
Conducted by Irene Messoloras, this performance places the spotlight on the expressive power of the human voice through a featured first half of choral masterworks. The program culminates in a shared collaborative second half performed by the UCI Choirs and Symphony Orchestra, celebrating the lasting influence of Bach and Beethoven across generations of composers.
Featuring the award-winning UCI Chamber Singers, recently honored by The American Prize for Best Choral Performance, Immortal Beloved explores themes of longing, transcendence, humanity, and hope through music that continues to resonate across centuries.
