Arts Media Center
|Established in 1992, the Arts Media Center comprises the central music reference and technology resource in UCI's Claire Trevor School of the Arts. Come visit our brightly lit, air conditioned facility equipped with CD, phonograph, VHS, DVD, (DAT, cassette & Laserdisc players, too!), six-station mac lab, a multimedia/AV Room and quiet study and listening areas. The AMC houses a growing collection of classical, jazz, popular, and world music audio and video recordings. We have over 6,000 CDs, 200 DVDs, 7,000 LPs, scores, scanner, photocopier/laser printer (B&W), and six macintosh workstations with MIDI keyboards. Our computers can accommodate music composition, music notation, musicianship, basic graphics, video editing, networking, writing, and various interactive technologies. The Recording Archive houses recordings of institutional concerts since 1969.|
New Circulation Policy Extended to All UCI Students
Beginning Winter Quarter, 2015, all registered UCI students in good standing with the UCI Libraries, and in possession of an activated student I.D., are now eligible to check out CDs, DVDs, books and scores from the Arts Media Center for a loan period of 14 days. A $1 per day fine will be assessed for overdue items, and all other remedies for unreturned items, such as replacement bills and the suspension of borrowing privileges may apply.
