Cyrian Reed

Cyrian Reed is an assistant professor of dance at UC Irvine. She received her B.A. in dance/performance from California State University, Long Beach, and an M.A. in education/adult education and training from the University of Phoenix. Reed has worked with artists including Kanye West, Beyoncé, David Foster, Gnarls Barkley, CeeLo, Mitchel Musso, Cheryl Lynn, Trinere, Linear, SNAP, and KC and the Sunshine Band. She is the choreographer and producer for Doggyland, which received a 2024 Telly Award for Best Online Animation Series and a 2024 NAACP Image Award with the production team. Her choreography credits also include the Emmy-nominated sitcom Hip-Hop Harry on Discovery Kids/TLC, Nike, Adidas, Skechers, and Häagen-Dazs commercials. She appeared as a guest judge and choreographer on Steven Spielberg’s Bravo reality series America’s Next Top Producer. Her students and collaborators at UC Irvine, California State University Northridge, Cypress College, Santa Ana College, Long Beach City College, and MiraCosta College have earned numerous awards for her signature choreography. Known for her compelling, innovative, and high-energy teaching techniques, Reed inspires dancers to command the stage while advancing dance as a powerful medium of communication worldwide.
