Jonathan Larson’s "tick, tick… BOOM!" is an autobiographical rock musical that invites us into the head and heart of a young composer who feels the clock ticking on his life and dreams. This is not simply a linear narrative, it is a memory play. The events unfold as Jonathan looks back at a pivotal weekend leading up to his 30th birthday, a weekend that will determine the course of his artistic future. The show is a collage of memory, reflection, fear, and hope. This production is the Thesis Project of M.F.A. Stage Manager, DJ Maloney, who serves as the Director and Producer.
