November 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) Colloquium Room

Do you often wonder what your fellow student artist-scholars are doing in other departments? Are you curious about what consciousness, spirituality, and interstitiality have in common? Perhaps some caffeine and sugar can help us tackle these enigmatic keywords?

Please join us for the first CTSA graduate student research colloquium this year. Deni Li (Ph.D. student, Drama), Atticus Reynolds (Ph.D. student, Music), and Zachary Maxfiled Benson (M.F.A. student, Art) will present their research and engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue with each other and with the audience. Coffee and pastry will be served!

Here are the titles of the presentation:
•    Deni Li: "Technoshamanic Consciousness in Psychedelic Performance/Art/Writing and Digital Media/Cultures”
•    Atticus Reynolds: Contemporary Afro-Cuban Batá Drumming: Abstraction in Spiritual Transmission
•    Zachary Benson: “Space Between Things"
