2019 Conservatory Dance: Beginner / Intermediate
Conservatory Dance: Beginner/Intermediate Intensive
June 24-June 28
Build your repertoire! For beginning to intermediate dancers looking to strengthen technical base with focus on ballet, modern and jazz, as well as various other in-studio and classroom-based topics in dance.
Modeled after our top-ranked UCI Dance Department undergraduate curriculum, beginner and intermediate level dancers will have the opportunity to train in three technical areas of dance: ballet, modern and jazz. In addition, workshops or master classes in other dance topics such as choreography, improvisation, and health and wellness may be offered. The Academy will conclude with a final showcase for family and friends (more details to be shared).
This course is meant for beginner and intermediate level dancers. For those interested in more advanced level courses, we also have a pre-college intensive for advanced dancers. More information on the advanced class can be found at Conservatory Dance: Advanced Pre-College Intensive.
Please note that while there are no formal auditions, students are asked to submit a video and personal statement PRIOR to registeration to ensure appropriate placement into the sessions. These materials are also reviewed by our instructors to get a better understanding of every individual's levels and goals in order to properly structure their lesson plans to meet the students' needs. Once all supplemental materials are received and reviewed, a registration link and code will be sent to the student to register for placed courses. Registration is filled on a first come, first served basis. You may submit your materials via the Register button below, or emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
