UCI Chamber Singers, together with video artists Keith Skretch and Hana Kim, the Donald Brinegar Singers, singers from USC Thornton, vocal soloists Kelci Hahn, Angelica Rowell, Jodie Landau, Joel Nesvadba, and percussionist Sidney Hopson, present the world premiere of the sound installation Oscillations: One Hundred Years and Forever, by composer Ellen Reid, at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. The work, which was commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic as part of their centennial celebration, is presented as part of the LA Fest: LA’s Newest Music concert, curated by Andrew Norman, and the Green Umbrella Series. UCI Chamber Singers will perform the work again on Thursday, October 11, as part of a concert by Andrew Bird and the LA Phil, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. We were honored and thrilled to bring this extraordinary new work to life.
