Position Summary:

As UCI’s creative laboratory, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) explores and presents the arts as the essence of human experience and expression, through art forms ranging from the most traditional to the radically new. Our international and distinguished faculty work across a wide variety of art forms, partnering with others across the campus; our nationally ranked programs in art, dance, drama, and music begin with training but end in original invention. The School delivers a superb developmental experience, combining superlative artistic training with a top-ranked liberal arts education. It is home to the departments of Art, Dance, Drama, and Music. The Office of Development at CTSA develops, directs and implements a strategic fundraising operation to generate philanthropic gifts that drives the mission of CTSA. This is accomplished under the direction of the Dean and in close collaboration with our major stakeholders including department Chairs and faculty, University Advancement, and our volunteer leadership on the Dean’s Arts Board.

Under the general direction of the Director of Development, the Associate Director of Development is a fundraising professional who works collaboratively with the Development team in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts and University Advancement colleagues to lead specific campaign development programs and secure significant philanthropic support for the Claire Trevor School of the Arts, with a goal of raising $500,000 annually in annual and major gifts. The scope of responsibilities include: qualification, cultivation, and solicitation, of new and existing donors, donor engagement, meeting metrics, development and coordination of fundraising programs, development of collateral material, presentations, newsletters, stewardship, and coordination of leadership meetings. The incumbent performs coordination of complex duties that engages with confidential and sensitive information of a broad scope related to donor relations, annual and major gift fundraising, and public relations. Incumbent is a motivated individual willing to partner with development officers, and faculty in priority areas to create opportunities for friends, alumni and corporations to give. The Associate Director of Development will manage and implement the annual fund, solicit leadership annual fund donations, and solicit major gifts.
