 ds.</p> <p>UC Irvine Drama Emergent Series presents Twelve Angry Jurors\, 
 adapted by Sherman L. Sergal\, based on the Emmy Award-winning television 
 movie by Reginald Rose. The play is a tension-driven drama that unfolds en
 tirely within a confined jury room\, where twelve jurors deliberate the fa
 te of a young man accused of murder. As tensions rise and prejudices surfa
 ce\, the play explores themes of justice\, prejudice\, and the power of in
 dividual conviction amidst a backdrop of societal pressure and the presump
 tion of innocence. This production unites UC Irvine students hailing from 
 both the Claire Trevor School of the Arts and the Department of Criminolog
 y\, Law\, and Society\, through a profound theatrical and thought provokin
 g experience. Following each performance\, the cast and company along with
  affiliates from the UCI Mock Trial Club and other social justice experts 
 will facilitate enlightening talkback sessions on addressing bias\, foster
 ing inclusivity\, and fortifying our cohesive UC Irvine community.</p> <p>
