Join us for the opening reception of HIT LIKE A TRAIN\, the 2026 Undergraduate Honors Thesis Exhibition at the University Art Gallery and Room Gallery on Thursday\, June 4\, 6–8 p.m. Organized by faculty ment or Amanda Ross-Ho\, the exhibition features thesis presentations by nine s tudents from the Art Honors cohort:

HIT LIKE A TR AIN brings together a diverse range of practices spanning painting\, sculp ture\, ceramics\, performance\, video\, installation and interactivity. Ex ploring themes such as identity formation\, artificial intelligence\, quee r positionality\, consumption\, memory\, nature and perception\, the exhib ition considers questions of agency and subjecthood within contemporary co nditions.
Additional parallel programs will take place in conjunctio n with the exhibition:
Ahead of the opening\, Jered Frigillana will present THEMATHEATRE\, a video installation screening on the 3rd floor wes t hallway of the ACT Building\, June 1–5. The instal lation features a curated loop of films running continuously\, 1–5 p.m. da ily. Screening schedule s and additional details are available online here.
On opening n ight\, June 4\, Junhao Zeng will present The Body Is Not Mine\, a performa nce in the University Art Gallery. The audience-interactive work invites p articipants to control five red dots corresponding to parts of the body: t wo hands\, two feet and a torso.
