Chamber Music | OC in association with the Claire Trevor School of the Arts presents international concert pianist Robert McDonald, Chair of Piano Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music and Piano Faculty at The Juilliard School.

McDonald has appeared with major orchestras in the United States and was the recital partner for many years to Isaac Stern. His prizes include the gold medal at the Busoni International Piano Competition, the top prize at the William Kapell International Competition, and the Deutsche Schallplatten Critics Award. He has played with the Takács, Vermeer, Juilliard, Brentano, Borromeo, American, Shanghai, and St. Lawrence string quartets, and can be heard on the Sony Classical, Bridge, Vox, Musical Heritage Society, ASV, and CRI labels. 

Join McDonald in a virtuosic program of chamber music featuring the violin sonatas of Janáček and Respighi with Trio Céleste violinist Iryna Krechkovsky, and Antonín Dvořák's masterful Piano Quintet with special guests Kyung Sun Lee and Paul Coletti, faculty of the Colburn School, and Trio Céleste members Iryna Krechkovsky and Ross Gasworth.
