2016 Summer Academy in Art

Learn studio art techniques, complete portfolio-ready art work, find personal artistic direction, and explore the thought process of creating art. The intensives consist of daily segments of discussion, studio time, and practical instruction––concluding with a small exhibition or screening of student work. Students will explore pencil, charcoal and acrylic; plaster, clay, and wood, while others learn the basics of lighting, sound, and camera equipment; perspective, darkroom process and editing software, among other tools for developing their art.
