The Men in Blaque, Harmonium, Chamber Singers and Ushinotes will present "Sing of Spring" on Saturday, May 25 in Winifred Smith Hall at 8 p.m. This program of music features four outstanding chamber choirs under the direction of Joseph Huszti, Kenneth Haro, Michel Geiger and Michael Ushino. Each conductor is a student of Professor Huszti's and have received degrees from the Claire Trevor School of the Arts.


The Men in Blaque will present several selections from their upcoming tour to Korea in June. Harmonium, the select women's chamber choir, will present literature from contemporary choral literature. Chamber Singers will perform the Sing of Spring by George Gershwin and several choruses from the opera Orfeo. Ushinotes have selected an eclectic program of music from early times to modern jazz.


From the haunting Wounded Byrd song to the danceable Sing of Spring, this wide range of popular, experimental, classical, operatic and modern music will appeal to a wide spectrum of musical tastes.
