Admitted Arts Undergraduate Students, Fall 2009
Welcome to UCI and the Claire Trevor School of the Arts!
To best prepare you for this exciting juncture in your life, the Arts Student Affairs office requires that all incoming first-year freshman and transfer students attend a summer orientation session. Please review the following information to ensure a smooth transition for the Fall 2009 quarter:
FIRST-YEAR FRESHMAN STUDENTS:
Anteater ZOT Start: What you need to know about UCI and your academic career before you come to campus for orientation. You must complete Anteater ZOT Start before you can sign-up for the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP).
Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP): All new freshman students are required to attend one 2-day SPOP session (UCI Summer Bridge participants are exempted). **Please Note: The Claire Trevor School of the Arts will be participating in the first SIX SPOP sessions only, as listed below:
SPOP 1: Wednesday, July 15 - Thursday, July 16
SPOP 2: Monday, July 20 - Tuesday, July 21
SPOP 3: Friday, July 24 - Saturday, July 25
SPOP 4: Wednesday, July 29 - Thursday, July 30
SPOP 5: Monday, August 3 - Tuesday, August 4
SPOP 6: Saturday, August 8 - Sunday, August 9

MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI - Please check this site regularly to ensure that the Admissions Office receives all transcripts and test scores by July 15, 2009.
Placement Testing - Most Arts students DO NOT need to take any placement tests UNLESS they are planning to take Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mathematics (Calculus), Physics, Spanish, and/or Vietnamese. Tests must be completed BEFORE you enroll in the above-mentioned class; summer testing dates are available.
Campus Billing Services - Fall 2009 fees are due September 15, 2009.
On-line Schedule of Classes (WebSOC) - Fall 2009 class schedules are now available.

Arts Transfer Student Orientation/Advising: All Arts transfer students must attend a one-day orientation/advising session, scheduled through the Arts Student Affairs office. Transfer student orientation/advising sessions are scheduled for the following dates:
Friday, July 10
Friday, July 17
Monday, July 27
Friday, July 31
Please note that Arts Transfer Students do not register for the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP). At the time of your orientation, Arts Transfer Students meet as a group in the morning and sign up for a 30-minute advising appointment with an Arts counselor to register for classes in the afternoon. Students must fax or mail their transcripts (unofficial OK) to the Arts Student Affairs office one week before their scheduled orientation date:

Transfer Success Program: The Transfer Success Program is an optional program geared to familiarize new transfers with the various services and opportunities available at UCI. Academic advising is not included in this program.
